Meet Gingham+GLOSS

Welcome!
Howdy, friend! My name is Courtney and I'm the owner of Gingham+Gloss. Thanks for stopping by my little colorful corner of the world, I'm truly, so glad that you're here!

Gingham+Gloss is a fun combination of unique finds, apparel, jewelry & accessories, home décor, gifts, party décor (y'all know I love a themed party), a few items for the guys, and other FUN products, or FUNventory, as we like to call it!

I also carry hand-crafted items like Nonna's Notes, Create Crates and DIY paint kits for most holidays!

A little more about the face behind G+G:

A creative Jane-of-all-trades and entrepreneur from an early age, I've been a hair stylist, make-up artist, a muralist, an insurance broker, and many other things! But my favorite job (besides the job of mom to my two girls and soon to be baby boy *Dec 2023* YAY!) was being a trunk show boutique owner after my first daughter was born. I was working full-time as an Insurance Broker and I had a one-year-old daughter, but I was still missing something creative in my life.
After researching how I could start a business on my own, taking business courses through the city of Houston, and my knowledge of being self-employed for many years- I decided that I wanted to start a trunk show business! Having a trunk show boutique business combined my love for clothing and accessories, making new friends, and my love-language: gift giving. I loved curating outfits and finding special pieces, especially for my friends and family members. Carrying trendy pieces I knew they would love and seeing the joy on their face when they tried on that special item was what I loved the most! That and hearing "My friend/sister/mom/daughter would LOVE this!" just fueled my passion for my business. But, after having my second daughter, working full-time, and raising 2 girls...traveling to pop-up shows proved to be too much, and I decided to shut down the business.
As busy as my girls have kept me, I still missed it! In 2019 I was working on a plan to return to my roots and start painting and refinishing/re-purposing furniture again but I was still waiting for a sign for the right time. Then 2020 hit. Woof. Let's just fast forward through that chaos...One day in spring of 2021 I was driving to do a grocery pick-up (hello, best thing to come out of covid!) when I saw the sign "Painted Tree Boutiques Coming Soon" and I jumped in headfirst. Within the next 2 months, I had worked tirelessly to start-up a brand-new business (hello Gingham+Gloss!) and here we are today! It is a never-ending energy-consuming job, running a small business, but I love it!

I couldn't have built this business without the endless support of my family, friends, neighbors, my daughters (they are my #1 cheerleaders!) and my husband! He is an excel superstar, account extraordinaire, and the whole IT department for G+G...the wheels would fall off without him for sure.

Thank you for shopping small y'all!
